Hi.

If you want us to help you, you're going to have to be a bit more forthcoming. It's not productive for either of us, when you don't tell us any details of what's wrong.

If you create a post, and the Mojo theme is activated, the post shows on the front page. It doesn't need to be in a special category, it doesn't need an image. It just shows up. If you add a featured image, that is used as the main feature of the post. If you don't, there's a placeholder visible. The theme is meant to be used with a featured image on each post. This is the portfolio nature of the theme.

If you're adding posts, and nothing is showing up on the front page, we'd guess that something is broken/wrong/untoward with your WordPress install. Maybe a plugin conflict?

We hope you get it sorted, so that you can enjoy your theme.

Cheers.

Hi gcatusse...

"How I can built my portfolio?"

Not sure I understand what you mean... Apart from the obvious, of course.

By adding posts? With images? Which appear on Mojo's single page portfolio?
Are you asking for help understanding how WordPress works?

I just purchased the Greyzed 1.5 theme to overwrite the 1.0.4 theme I had been using but I get the following error when I try to upload it:

"Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand."

I deleted 1.0.4 and reinstalled that and it worked ok but I can't seem to get 1.5 to upload.

Any ideas?

Hi reflectable...

We've answered most of this in your other post so this will just handle the outlier.

A mail is definitely sent after a deal is bought. It's part of the deal.

Hi reflectable....

Firstly, you can take a look at the post we did, entitled The Big Deal Reveal. That takes you on a tour of the back-end of the theme and some of the work-flow.

Secondly, re the mail, the theme has the file in <b>/includes/mail_notifiers.php</b> You'll see the various hooks and a $message = variable that contains the variables. This is a bit higher grade, but we have faith in your skillz :) Backup before edit, yes?

Lastly, editing the deal is done in the WP Dashboard. The Big Deal doesn't have support for coupons/vouchers y̶e̶t̶.

:)

Hey Guys,

A few questions also.

1) How do you change the emails that are going out? I looked in the Editor and other areas and I did not see the files.

2) No Email is sent after they buy the coupon / deal. Can we change this?

3) How do you even view the voucher? Or change what the voucher looks like?

I know that I am looking too much into it, because I can not find anything.

There are no more details. I have installed as well many other themes before without any problems and the same host as usual, bluehost.com
I don´t know what else to say. I downloaded the theme and installed it with simple scripts as I always do.
I browse the theme and then install the zip-folder with the theme. It take 5 minutes then I get the text: Are you sur you want to do this? Please try again....
again again..and so on.

@Ken - Thank you for your response, we love to hear about new ideas and such. From time to time I'm also a fan of things running on their own, but sometimes it's best to consolidate when it comes to software options that can run smoothly together. At this point we won't be able to build a skin for you, our focus is strictly on WordPress, but we will add it to our list and who knows :)

@tjunge - This sounds like a problem on your host - we've had thousands of people download and successfully install greyzed, so this is most definitely an isolated situation. Could you perhaps give us some more details please so we can assist..

George, thanks for the quick reply.

I'm using Dirty Board 2.0 by Cosa Nostra Design. They haven't updated it in quite some time and on WP, they recommend not using it since it's not up to speed.

Was doing some research yesterday and found the two things you mention. Both are highly recommended by the community it seems. As you said, lots of cautions, which i always heed. Good part is, if I sit and read and concentrate, I can get these things done almost flawlessly. Reading code drives me nuts, but I get it figured out.

I prefer to have the board as a stand alone, but if I get all that I want by integrating it into Greyzed, could be worth it. I may be bugging you on how to remove the column on the left on that one page. I won't need it for the forum.

In the mean time, if in your spare time :-) you ever make a standalone phpbb version of Greyzed, I'd gladly pay $35 for it. I have a feeling with the Greyzed look, it would be fairly popular in the bulletin board community. Might make you enough for a nice vacation somewhere.

For now, I'll have to live with switching the forum over to a boring prosilver style till I get things worked out.

Thanks again George.

Greetings!

So you want to get nitty gritty in the code? Nice! Let's see if I can help you out.

1) First of you'll need to apply all changes I suggest to both your index.php and single-deals.php template files!

2) What you're going to want to know is what is the maximum amount of units available. Do this by adding the following code in the pricing_vars section

$product_maximum = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'deals_maximum', true);

3) Then you're going to want to know how much of that has been sold. This has already been set, as you may have noticed, in a variable:

$products_sold

4) Lastly, you'll just need to do some maths. What is left is the Maximum - the Sold. So by the line that says "Units Sold: X". Change this to:

Units Left: <? echo ($product_maximum - $products_sold); ?>

Hi Ken...

Good news. If you use the bbPress forum plugin, it will use the Greyzed theme. There might be some small anomalies, but there's certainly enough to make a start.

More good news. There's another plugin, called ForumConverter, which claims to migrate a PHPBB database to a WP(bbPress) format. Again, this will probably need some caution (and solid backups), but something to start with, yes?

For curiosity sake, what is the PHPBB style called? We looked in the Styles database, and found one named "Grunge", but that looks nothing like your forum...

Thanks!

Hi there

On my implementation of The Big Deal theme I want to show to the client how many units are left of those available on a deal and not just the amount of units sold.

It would seem the easiest is to change the Units Sold label to Units left and display a different field as the result. How would I go about doing this?

George and Guru Frog,

Before I started a WP blog and found Greyzed, I started a phpbb forum and use a grunge style that is no longer being updated and has to go away before it breaks on it's own. I'm bummed. Here's what it looks like.

http://www.wadauwant.com/wd_journal/index.php

Is there a way for me to carry on the wonderful Greyzed look onto my forum? I like visual consistency, that's what I get for having a degree in fine art.

I thought of installing a WP forum plug in, but not sure if that will keep the Greyzed look on the forum page. There is also 3 years of posts on my forum and I don't know if that can be transferred. I would hate to see all that info go away or hang around out there on it's own.

If I were a rich man, I would hire you to design a Greyzed phpbb theme/skin for me. Sadly, I have a beer budget and not the really good beer.

Let me know your thoughts and thanks in advance.

Yes, of course. If you have the coding skills, it's all there :)

Hi shortstackedradio...

In Greyzed, yes, it's safe and fine to delete the file.
Of course, always have backups before. The unexpected *is* the unexpected :)

Couldn't one edit the code for one of the other social sites? For instance, we don't have a lastFM, couldn't we edit the code and replace the image to reflect Google+?

Hi Kris,

OK, as promised, feedback :)

1. We've upgraded your installation of Enterprize.
2. We've upgraded your version of TimThumb.
3. The problem is being caused by the use of the ~ (tilde) in the URL. We understand this is a test site, but we wouldn't recommend using that in a production URL. Anyway, it seems that TimThumb is unhappy with the image paths that contain a ~, and that's why the images are not showing in the slider.

There is a hack, involving hardcoding the path into the TimThumb PHP module, but we're not keen on that approach.

We simply suggest using a more standard URL.

Enjoy!

My pond buddy is still having issues and we need need a swimming buddy...

The featured images aren't showing up...

Under eFrog Options, Design Tweaks we have two pages selected under 'Slider Settings' and they are rotating blank images and clicking through nicely from the home page.

I opened the page for editing, selected Featured Image, selected a 630x310 image which, when viewed under Media library does show it as attached to that page.

Any other ideas? http://not.notesfromkris.com/~comsolut/

Hi gogiro...

Have you only added the images to the page? You'll need to add them as a featured image to show in the slider. From the documentation:

"Take full control over the content and functioning of the home-page slider. Choose the specific pages you want featured. The page will need to have a featured image set, in order to appear. The transition speed and time each slide will be shown for, as well as the type of transition and whether to show navigation controls on the slider, may also set."

Hope that helps!
